Street Fighter II volume question
Question from Eric: Hey there!
I am pretty new to the arcade scene (at least the restoring side of it) and recently purchased a Street Fighter II Champion Edition cabinet. Your videos have helped a ton so far, so thanks for that!!
I am having difficulty figuring out how to adjust the volume. In the instruction manual, the dip switch diagram shows a volume knob next to the dip switches but I see nothing of the sort. Could you help me out on where exactly the volume control is? The game is a bit too loud right now.

Sounds like someone either removed the potentiometer (or knob) from the board or you might have a bootleg Street Fighter II board that does not contain the pot. Your best bet would be to wire up a 5k potentiometer between your speakers and the board. I have attached a diagram to help you figure out how to do this. You can get the 5k pot from Bob Roberts at http://www.therealbobroberts.net. Visit the parts page and do a search for “Volume Pot 5K Ohm” and you should find what you need. If you decide to try and install this pot, please let us know if you have any trouble with it.
