Question from Brad: I have a wells gardner u2000 monitor that doesnt work good at all, although it does work.

The picture is always way too dark no matter what i do, and also, it is always washed in a purpleish tint.

I already sent the chassis off to texas for a recap and he replaced the resistors and the flyback as well.

I know that it was in fact done, because the guy i sent it to is a friend of mine, who has also repaired many jamma boards and 8 liners for me.

with all that has been done, the only obvious answer left is that i need a new tube, or rejuvenation.

I have an almost brand new sylvania model 6424TFS 24.5″ tv sitting around collecting dust.

is their a way i could find out if the tube will interchange into a u2000 chassis, without taking the tv apart first, or will i just have to tear it down?
