Question from Chris: I’m thinking about purchasing machines at an auction and possibly beating the pavement to find resturaunts auto shops or bars to lease the Machines. What is the standard rate? Is it a flat fee or do you split the quarters 50 50m, 60 40 ect. Also theirs an Afterburner sitdown on Ebay right now for 2300 bucks in your opinion what are these worth, I remember going to the Arcade as a kid and seeing these draw alot of attention.

Response from Tim: What state are you in?
One of the first things you need to do is find out what the laws are in your state. Here in Texas you have to have an operating license which is $200 per year plus a tax sticker which cost $60 per game and BY LAW you have to give the owner of the establishment 50% so 50-50 is standard split.
If its an Afterburner Deluxe with LCD monitor its easily worth that, but keep in mind ANY game with that four letter word S E G A will have very expensive parts.
