donkey kong arcade question
Question from Stephen: To whom it may concern,
Was on your website looking for some helpful tips about fixing my donkey kong arcade gaem. I did see a lot of useful information but figured Id quick ask another question which i am sure is a dumb one none the less. I turn on the switch to the machine and can hear the humming sound in the monitor but no noise volume or picture. Initially I would assess the issue being the monitor because of the lack of a picture but without having the volume either does that mean its two issues? The monitor and the board or could the board result in both problems?
Thanks in advance
Stephen

Response from Jonathan: Stephen,
From your description, it sounds like you might be having a problem with your board. With that said, it could be something as simple as your board not getting power from the power supply. Keep in mind that your monitor and marquee light run off of AC power and just because you are getting AC power does not necessarily mean that you’re getting DC power. There should be a metal box in the game where AC power comes in and DC power goes out. You need to measure the DC power coming out with a multimeter.
