jamma boards swapping
Question from Randy: i have arcade game that has jamma board can i take it out and put another game jamma board ? does it make a difference horizontal or vertical jamma board can they interchange like i have street fighter 2 can i swap out and put tekken jamma board or ms pac man etc thanks randy

Yes you can but there are some caveats to it. If you have a vertically mounted monitor and you plug in a horizontal JAMMA game (or vice versa), the game will come up on the screen but be oriented incorrectly. You could swap out a Street Fighter 2 for a Tekken board but you would have to do some rewiring to get the controls for these games to work properly. This is because they both use a kick harness in addition to the regular JAMMA harness and the kick harness is different for each of those boards.
