Question from Jason: I’ve recently acquired BEAST BUSTERS SECOND NIGHTMARE hardware, it’s non-jamma, it’s exclusively for the Hyper NeoGeo64 {they only released 7 games for the Arcade Neo64, & the Beast Busters 2nd was the only gun game}, RARE {the board I have is #308}, I’ve got all the wiring, 2 gun PCBs, the Hyper Neo64 motherboard {this one only works with BeastBusters} & the daughterboard {cart}, & an original Arcade Gun {for this game}
This was pulled from a working cabinet {got it mailed from Rhode-Island/Mass.}:
– All I’m getting is a Blue-Screen {photo#2}, No sound, No graphics:
I believe there is a power issue / I’m using a Street-Fighter Alpha monitor {photo#4 shows where I’ve replaced the original monitor hookup {RGB,W} with the Neo64 {I’ve circled the Neo64 installed & also the disconnected original}
– IF I SEND YOU THE MOTHER-BOARD & CART, COULD YOU ATTEMPT TO GET THIS PLAYABLE
ON A CRT TELEVISION OR ARCADE MONITOR? technical info {just some basics, I’ve found}:
– Photo#3 shows were I’ve outlined the pin-outs: {starting w/ the small pcb on the left:
1st circled is wires to transformer, directly above that: {not circled} wires to Gun #1, above that circled & drawn white-line: wires go to far Left/Bottom of motherboard, above that: wires to connector {leads to portion of power-supply}
NEXT, Large PCB I’ve placed on top of the mother/daughter-board, far-left: wires to plastic connector connecting to portion of power supply, next with white-line drawn goes to motherboard {far-right / top}, next circled: to test/service switch {don’t need?}, next in the back of large pcb circled is 2 wires to GUN 1 & 2 wires to GUN 2 {don’t need Gun2},
BOTTOM ROW OF MOTHER-BOARD: {RGBW,W} leading to monitor {as shown in photo#4}, Next, left of that: to test/service switch {don’t need}, Next: wires to Controls/Guns 1 &2, Next to the left: some wires to power supply, ,
ABOVE THAT {top row of motherboard}: 2nd one in: some power supply wires, Next left of that: Controls/Guns 1&2, Next: Vacant {not used}, Next some wires that attach to bottom of motherboard for power supply, & the far left/top is the motherboard connecting itself

THE MOTHERBOARD & CART THAT I HAVE ARE VERY CLEAN, HOWEVER, IT MAY STILL BE DEFECTIVE? -OR- POSSIBLY A POWER ISSUE {I’ve tried another monitor & accidentally shorted a fuse! {it was a 38″} – I’M DONE WITH TRYING TO GET THIS TO WORK WITH AN ARCADE MONITOR, UNLESS SOMEONE CAN GET IT TO WORK ON ONE!
I’m currently asking several different people who custom-make super-guns {& a few who work on arcade games}, if they want to attempt this. Let me know if you are interested or not
