Asteroids Cocktail Game
Question from Jerry: I have this unit for years, and haven’t played it in a long time, but i’m ready to fix it based on your videos.
The unit is flying blind. This is the second time since i bought it.
THis happened 6 months after i bought it and the seller fixed it for me.
He changed out a chip on the main board that he said went out. Should i still follow your flying blind video, or is this something more serious?

Unfortunately our Troubleshooting Games That Are Playing Blind video probably won’t help you out much on this repair. The process covered in that video is for color, raster monitors. Asteroids uses a black-and-white, vector monitor which is a much different than the standard color, raster monitor found in most games.
With that said, its sounds like you are having some issues with the power supply section of your vector monitor. There’s a very good Vector Monitor FAQ on the Crazy Kong website that you should check out. It has a great troubleshooting section that should be able to help you out with your issue.
