Question from Duke: Good morning. I’ve been watching videos on your site all morning after purchasing my first arcade game last night from Craigslist. It’s a Mortal Kombat 1 cabinet with the original Zenith tube and the chassis model # reads 25K7197. The game worked fine at the seller’s home, but after unloading it at my house, it is playing blind (a term I learned just today from your site). I checked all the connections to be sure it was something that had worked it’s way loose. All the fuses I could locate were checked out with my volt meter and the power is strong from the isolated transformer. The screen is completely black, no glow at all. The bottom of the tube had an orange glow a couple of times at startup but stops within a few seconds. Any ideas where I should start? I am a beginner with this type of repair (CRT) but I am comfortable enough to do it. I’m hoping it’s something simple but am prepared for the worst.
