Time Crisis 3 help
Question from David: Good afternoon! I’m hoping you might be able to help me with a problem. I have a time crisis 3 video game, and I’ve recently replaced the guns for the game with some Hazo-Sapp guns with adapter harnesses. When I go into the setup screen and align the gun, it fires correctly all over the screen with no problem. When I go to play the actual game, the gun will only register a hit in the center of the screen. If I try and fire at someone near one of the sides or the top, the screen flashes showing the trigger has been pulled, but it won’t register a hit on the screen. Any idea what could be the problem here? Thanks!

Response from Jonathan: David,
Unfortunately there is not a cut-and-dry solution for getting gun games to work so here are a couple of tips for you. You usually need to adjust the brightness and contrast up to a level that is higher than you might prefer. It could be that the brightness is fine on the setup screen but not during game play. Make sure that the game is not located underneath any bright lights as this can also cause issues. You might even turn up the voltage a little higher to see if it helps at all. Make sure that the lenses located in the barrel of each gun are in good shape and are clean. Hopefully one of these tips will help you solve the problems you are having.
We also posted a Question Of The Week podcast a while back that talks about light guns that you might be interested in. Of course, feel free to email us back if you have any specific questions you might have about light guns as well.

Unfortunately we do not have any videos or DVDs on light guns at the moment. We are planning to release a video on Troubleshooting Light Gun Issues sometime after the first of the year. Hopefully we can get that posted on our YouTube page soon.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
