Pacman arcade machine
Question from Patrick: Hi, I have a pacman machine I recently purchased to put in my comic book store. The game has a new board inside of it. It comes on and you can play the game but I cannot see the screen. The only thing that shows up on the screen is an image from a poker game. Someone at one point in time repurposed this game into something else. Now with pacman back how do I get this image off my screen and pacman on the screen? Thank you

The poker game image that you’re describing sounds like it has been burned into the monitor due to the monitor being left on for long periods of time with the same graphics on the screen. This issue (which we call Screen burn) is a common problem with older CRT monitors. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to resolve that issue.
With that said, the symptoms you are describing sound like the game is “playing blind” or you can play the game but nothing comes up on the screen.
