question LCD monitor replacement
Question from Mike: Hey guys, you guys have helped me a ton with some of my arcade machines and am a huge fan of the site. Recently the monitor for my WWF Superstars arcade game blew and I decided to replace it with a new LCD monitor. I am a newbie at repairing arcade games but I did my research and I think I did everything that I needed too to replace the monitor. I purchased the monitor, the converter, I got a 2amp 5v power adapter. I posed this question to you on Facebook and I was told to email you guys with some pictures. The converter is getting power. The game is firing up and working blind but the monitor keeps reading no signal as I fire it up and then it just goes to sleep. I can’t even get to a menu or do anything. All I get is no signal for one second and nothing. Monitor is getting power. I tried hooking monitor up to both sides of the converter with no avail and I’ve tried to push the menu and sync buttons in the converter as was directed on instructions. Any help would be awesome. I’m kinda lost on what to do next. I have in attached some pictures as to what my setup is on my converter and monitor per your request. Thank you so much. Mike

Response from Jonathan: Mike,
Looking at your pictures, it looks like the VGA cable is hooked up to the wrong VGA port on the converter. According to the GBS-8200 manual, the VGA port that you currently have the VGA cable hooked up to is the input. The other VGA port is the output. Try hooking up the VGA cable to the output VGA port instead and let us know what happens.
If you continue to have problems, we can try and give you a call. Please let us know what the best time would be to reach you. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
