G07 Question

Question from Daniel: I have a G07 Pac Man monitor that had no neck glow and a blown flyback. We rebuilt the chassis with a new flyback, new HOT, new caps and fired it up. Still no neck glow. We were getting 113VDC B+ and 150VDC on the other side of the 220 ohm resistor. So I had an extra tube lying around with almost exactly the same resistance on it both vertical and horizontal so I swapped tubes. Now I have neck glow and have adjust the B+ voltage up to 120VDC and still no picture. What else could be wrong on this thing? Still no picture. Thanks!

Response from Jonathan: Daniel,

Have you tried turning the brightness all the way up to see if you get a white screen? This should tell us whether you are having a video input issue or a power issue. Also, never underestimate the power of a bad/cracked solder joint. Highly recommend going through the HV section and touching up all the solder points. Hope that helps.
