Neo geo mvs 4 slot?
Question from Justin: I purchased a Neo Geo 4 slot MVS not too long ago and fixed a bunch of issues with it. However, one of the games that came in the cabinet boots up and appears to play, but unfortunately the controls do not work for it. Did I do something wrong? Is there any way to fix this issue? Maybe the game needs repaired? All of the other three work fine. Thanks for your time.

Interesting issue. We haven’t seen this particular problem before but we can try to help you out. Have you tried swapping the cartridge into a different slot on the board to see if the controls work? This should tell us whether the problem is in the cartridge or the slot itself. If the problem is with the slot, there are places that sell slot replacement kits that might solve your issue. If the problem is with the cartridge, you can try opening up the cartridge to see if you can find any cold/cracked solder joints or any places where traces might be broken. You can also try cleaning the cartridge pins with a pencil eraser like we show in our post on Inspecting An Arcade Board which might help it make a better connection to the slot.
