help :)
Question from Donna: I bought the 138-1 and I want to use both joysticks with Robotron??? Is there a fix for this??? Also, has anyone figured out how to rotate the screen so you can play both the vertical and horizontal games??? If i can I will buy the 2-1 switcher and the 60-1 game. Thanks for your time on this. Response from Jonathan: Donna,
Unfortunately there is not a fix to play Robotron with both joysticks on the 138-in-1 boards as of right now. Some people in the community have been working on changing the settings of the game on the SD card but I don’t believe they have figured it out yet. Many people have said that the 19-in-1 multiboard allows you to play Robotron with both joysticks but I have not tested this myself. Of course, 19-in-1 boards are pretty inexpensive so it might be worth a shot if Robotron is one of your favorite games.
As for your second question, yes it is possible to create a rotating mount for your monitor. Although I have not done it myself, I have seen several MAME setups with this feature. The Build Your Own Arcade Controls (BYOAC) FAQ has an article on this subject that has some great information if you are interested in trying to implement this in your cabinet. Here’s a link: http://arcadecontrols.com/arcade_rotate.shtml. As you can see, there are several hurdles you’ll have to overcome in order to get it to work properly. Instead of trying to install a rotatable mount in your cabinet, we recommend just getting another cabinet where the monitor is already mounted vertically and installing a 60-in-1 board in that. Of course, the choice is yours.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your projects.
