Leaf Button holders

Question from James: Hi Tim and Jonathan,

I have what I hope is a simple question. I was able to repair a Dig Dug cabinet after enjoying hours of your podcast. I can’t tell you how helpful your show is. I’ve found that the confidence that I had from the game repair helped give me courage to fix a refrigerator that quit cooling as well. I was able to repair that too.

My current question is about the pump buttons on the Dig Dug machine. Once in awhile the button fails to fire and usually when it does miss it feels less springy when pressing. I looked into the switches on the control panel and my game is using the leaf style switches. Should I replace the entire leaf switch and button holder? Or do you have another suggestions? I tried to align the prongs a little closer together but it sill feels like it misses once in awhile.

Thanks guys and Happy Thanksgiving!
James
