MULTICADE – – 2001 Kortek Monitor Issue…
Question from RJ: To whom it may concern, came across your very helpful and informative website after acquiring a Multicade 48 Game stand up box. In getting to know it (all through your site!), I have found an issue with the monitor in that I can not get the screen to fit at top and bottom. I have messed with V and H Holds and it seems image is “zoomed” too big height wise. I can adjust left and right to centered, but can not get “High Score” portion of games up top or “Credits” portion at bottom. There is a slight buzzing coming from inside, maybe around “flyback” area. Any input or response would be greatly appreciated. Please see attached pics of screen during Galaga play. Thanks in advance – RJ
PS- Honestly, it is just killing me in Galaga that I can’t see how many fighters I have left and my score at top of screen!!!!

Response from Jonathan: RJ,
Yes, it seems like the horizontal width of the monitor is adjusted too wide. Check to see if you can find a horizontal width potentiometer (or knob) on the monitor chassis. If you cannot find a horizontal width potentiometer, then you might need to adjust the horizontal width coil itself. Check out our post on Adjusting The Horizontal Width Coil for more information. If adjusting the width coil doesn’t help, you might try replacing the width coil and/or installing a cap kit on the monitor. Check out our post on Installing A Cap Kit for more information on the process.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
