Pacman to 60-in-1
Question from Pete: Hi, I’m converting my Pac Man to a 60-in-1. I watched your videos on converting this but the JAMMAboards adapter is impossible to get!!! I picked up a Pac cabinet to JAMMA adapter from Arcadeshop. It has provisions for more buttons but I want to wire the player 1 button to use as fire button. Are you familiar with their adapter and know how to wire this?? Any help would be great. Keep up the awesome videos!!! Thanks, Pete

Response from Jonathan: Pete,
You should be able to accomplish this by running a jumper wire from the player 1 start button pin on the Pac Man side of the adapter to the player 1 button 1 pin on the JAMMA side of the adapter. You might think about doing this with the player 2 start button pin and the player 1 button 2 pin as well so you can play games that require 2 buttons. If you do this, please double check your work and make sure that everything is making a good connection. If the jumper wires are accidently touching another pin or if they are soldered to the wrong pin you could cause damage to your game.
Keep in mind that you will still need a switching power supply of some sort in order to power the JAMMA board. You will need to solder the voltages from this power supply to the correct locations on the adapter. Of course, this is assuming that you Pac Man cabinet still has the original power supply in it.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
