Operation Thunderbolt arcade

Question from Gail: I have purchased a CGA to VGA converter to use with a computer monitor in my Operation Thunderbolt arcade cabinet. Do you have any videos that would show how to disconnect the wiring from the TV and set up the convert and monitor? Also, can this be done with the Operation Thunderbolt game? I am concerned because it is a shooting game and I am not sure how it works with the mirror and TV tube?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Unfortunately we do not have any videos that show how to disconnect the wiring from the arcade monitor and hook it up to the video converter. It is on our list of videos to shoot but we just haven’t gotten around to it.

Yes, it should work. Operation Thunderbolt uses potentiometer based guns instead of optical based guns. Optical based guns WILL NOT work with LCDs because they required feedback from the CRT. Potentiometer based guns WILL work with LCDs because the position of the reticle is based on potentiometers built into the gun. In other words, it should work if you use your computer monitor in this cabinet.
