original upright Pacman
Question from Matt: I have been watching your YouYube channel enjoying it very much. Thank you. lots of great information.
I was given a upright Pac Man arcade game about a year ago. It looks to be original w/o any modifications. It had been working just ok but playable. Joystick didn’t always go the direction you wanted it to, but not big deal. A couple months ago it got worse. Now nothing but some garbage on screen. From looking around on internet, it looks like board is bad.
I purchased a JAMMA kit from Holland Computers which came with joystick, buttons, etc. (http://www.hollandcomputers.com/store/pc/Jamma-60-in-1-KIT-Classic-Arcade-Multigame-Multicade-JAMMA-PCB-Arcade-game-conversion-kit-p6004.htm#details).
Anyhow, I cannot figure how to get control panel off. I watched your video on how to open cabinet, but I don’t think this one has hinge on control panel, at least not that I can see. There are 2 latches, one on each side but not one in middle. So it possibly just lifts out, but thought I would ask.
Any advice? I am trying not to break anything. Thanks Matt in Los Angeles, CA

Response from Jonathan: Matt,
First off, thank you for the kind words about our videos. We’re glad you’ve found them helpful. Stay tuned for more upcoming content in the future.
As for your question, you got it! Just unlatch the control panel and lift it straight up by the joystick and it should come off the cabinet.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
