Terminator 2 Judgement Day won’t light up

Thomas: Hello, I have a Midway Terminator 2 Judgement Day game that once in a while the screen won’t light up or turn on. Sometimes if I play with the fuse holder it will turn on and sometimes nothing happens. I bypassed the fuse and get the same results. Sprague filter maybe? What are your thoughts?

Response from Jonathan: Thomas,

Usually when you have intermittent power issues like this, it’s caused by faulty wiring somewhere in the cabinet. We recommend tracing down all of the voltage wires (AC and DC) starting at your power plug from the wall and making sure that all of them are connected properly. Make sure you check for frayed or damaged wires as well as these can also cause problems with your game. You might also test your switching power supply in the cabinet when it won’t come on to see if it’s getting AC power to it. This will help you identify whether the issue is with the power supply itself or a wiring issue between your power supply and the AC voltage coming from the wall. Check out our post on Checking And Replacing A Power Supply for more information. Hope that helps.
