Monitor issue
Question from Jeff: Hello. I have a new flat screen monitor that I installed and connected via a CRT to VGA board from my JAMMA harness. The monitor continues to auto adjust during the Golden Tee game as well as show No Signal even after I have hit the ball.
Converter board information:

This is the monitor I purchased

I appreciate any insight you might have in correcting this issue.
Thanks,
Jeff

Response from Jonathan: Jeff,
Let’s start off this repair by making sure that all of our wires are hooked up and making a good connection. The fact that your monitor wants to auto adjust and show a no signal message means that there is a drop in the video signal either from the Golden Tee board to the converter board or between the converter board and the monitor. Again, make sure all of your wiring is connected properly. Also, the monitor that you purchased should do a auto adjust when it first powers on. You might try adjusting the picture on the monitor to your liking at this point and then turning it off using the power button on the monitor (NOT the power switch on the arcade game). This should save the adjustment in the monitor itself which may help solve some of the adjustment issues you are having during gameplay. Of course, you could also have a bad video converter board so you might try it with a different board or arcade cabinet to see if you get the same results.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
