Soul calibur

Question from Tim: Just thought I would give it a try and contact you. My game plays fine except you can just slightly hear the sound. I moved what I thought was the volume knob on the board and it didn’t really make any difference. Just was wondering if there’s anything else to check for sound on the board. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Tim

Response from Jonathan: Tim,

It could be that the volume knob on the board is not working properly. You may need to replace it in order to turn up the volume. You might also go into the test mode and make sure that you have the correct Speaker Out setting in the Sound Test menu. If the speakers are hooked up to the JAMMA harness, make sure that the Speaker Out mode is set to Monaural. If the speakers are hooked to the RCA jacks on the board, the Speaker Out mode should be set to Stereo. Also, make sure that your speaker wires are not hooked up to another potentiometer (or volume knob) before they get to your speakers. If this is the case, you may need to turn up that potentiometer in order to crank up the volume. Hope that helps.
