crt replacement
Question from Bill: Hi, I have a Centipede cocktail arcade game that needs a new monitor (really bad burn in). Presently it has an Electrohome monitor with these specs:
chassis G07FB0
product no. 38-G079100-00
120 volt 0.90 amp 50/60 Hz
CRT type 370ESB22
This monitor also has a partial vertical collapse (about a 1/3 of the screen displays), which is why I was given this arcade game. I have read the right TV or computer monitor will plug in. Any leads or recommendations? I was hoping to plug in a new tube and then repair the original board with new caps and check for cold solders (watched your videos) and then go from there. Thanks, Bill

Response from Jonathan: Bill,
Yes, the right TV or computer tube compatible with your Electrohome G07 chassis should work. There is a web site that lists some compatible TV tubes that should work with your monitor chassis. All you need to do is find one of these TVs that has the same yoke readings and neck size (perhaps at a local pawn shop, on Craigslist, garage sales, etc.), swap this tube with the tube currently in your arcade cabinet and you should be in business. Here’s the link to the site with the tube compatibility list: http://junknet.net/donor-tvs
Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
