Galaxian PCB Repair

Question from Adam: Good Day Sirs,

I have a Galaxian PCB from a Galaxian Cocktail Cabinet I am restoring.

The PCB does not look on bad shape. It looks clean, and even had some of the large capacitors replaced by its previous owner.

There are no signs of life when power is applied. I kind of expect that one of the system clocks are dead, but honestly I have no idea what is wrong with it.

Could you give me any kind of idea of what it might cost to have you repair the board for me?

Thanks for your time,
Adam

Response from Jonathan: Adam,

We’re definitely not the best when it comes to board repair to be honest with you. There are a couple of people that we recommend for these types of repairs. You can check out our Resources page for a list. We highly recommend Raymond at Arcade Components. He does an excellent job of documenting what the problem is and how he fixes it with every board that he works on. Alex at Elektron Forge also does some board repair work in case you can’t get in touch with Raymond. Both guys are very good at board repair and can hopefully help you with your board issues.

Thank you for your question and good luck on your future repairs.
