Response from Jonathan: Timothy,

It sounds like your Tron monitor might be having some sort of power issue. It could be with the power coming into the monitor or with the high voltage section of the monitor. At this point, we recommend checking out our post on Troubleshooting Games That Are Playing Blind for some tips on how to get your arcade monitor working again.

In order to know which parts you need to order, you will need to determine the make/model of your monitor chassis. To identify your monitor chassis, go to the What’s My Monitor page on Bob Roberts site and see which one looks the closest to the one in your game. Once you have identified the chassis, you should be able to order the parts from Bob to fix your monitor. Once the parts come in, replace them and you should be good to go. If you need more instruction on this, we have an extended version of the Troubleshooting Games That Are Playing Blind video on our Volume 4 DVD which shows you all of the steps from start to finish. We highly recommend this if you’re looking to tackle this project yourself. Of course, feel free to contact us again if you have any questions during this process.

Now, if you do not feel comfortable fixing this monitor yourself, we do have several people that we recommend for monitor repair. Check out the Monitor Repair Services & Information section on our resources page for a list of people who can help you out. Please keep in mind that you will need to discharge the monitor and remove the chassis in order to get it repaired.

Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
