Pacman Green Screen
Question: I recently had a pacman monitor board reconditioned and when I installed it all I got was a green screen. I tried all the monitor adjustments including the flyback adjustments. I also tried cleaning and reseating all of the Eproms and IC chips. Any advice?

Response from Jonathan: Sounds like you could have a power issue or an issue with your board. Definitely need to check the power getting to your board to make sure it is getting the correct voltage. Check out our post on Checking A Classic Power Supply for more information. If the voltage getting to your board is good then you probably have a board issue.
My best guess would be a problem with your Z80 CPU or your VRAM Addresser if it is indeed a board issue. You could try replacing these parts to see if they make a difference. You might check out Lawnmowerman’s Pac-man Website for more information on troubleshooting Pac Man boards. Two Bits also sells an ABC Diagnostics Kit for Pac Man boards that might be worth purchasing if you plan on repairing a lot of Pac Man / Ms. Pac Man boards in the future.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
