Screen issue question
Question from Adam: Hello. First, love your YouTube channel! Very helpful and a ton of great info. I wanted to see if you had a quick opinion on a situation. I have a client that needs to sell a Pac Man multi game machine and would like me to buy it. She sent me the attached picture of the screen and said when she turned it on today it had these lines running down the side. Are you aware if that could be something as easy as adjusting one of the adjustment knobs on the back or is this an indicator of something major? If you happen to have any input on this, I’d love to hear. Thanks!

Response from Jonathan: Adam,
Unfortunately this problem is probably not going to be fixed by turning an adjustment knob on the monitor. This looks more like an issue with some capacitors (or caps) on the monitor chassis going bad. We actually discuss a similar problem in our post on More Troubleshooting Monitors With Michael. We recommend checking out that post along with our post on Installing A Cap Kit for more information on your issue. Please let us know if you have additional questions that are not addressed in these posts.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
