Monitor repair question

Question: Hi, love your repair videos. They have been very helpful when repairing arcade equipment. I was wondering if you could help me out with this:

I recently purchased an arcade cabinet. Apparently, the previous owner purchased a new chassis for the monitor. However, it seems like this chassis was meant for a larger monitor. After playing with all the settings, I can not get it to match the size the monitor. If I shrink the image to where it fits, it start to have to flip effect and I have to enlarge it to stabilize it but it cuts off as the image is too large for the monitor. Is there anything I can do to fix this or would I have to just purchase another chassis that is the correct size?

Thank for any assistance provided. 🙂

Response from Jonathan: First off, thank you for your kind words. We are glad you’ve found our content helpful. As for your question, it sounds like you may need to adjust either the horizontal or vertical hold a bit after adjusting the size in order to get the image to stabilize. Highly recommend checking out our post on Adjusting An Arcade Monitor for more information on these adjustments. If it’s the horizontal width that’s giving you the issue, it might also be worth checking out our post on Adjusting The Horizontal Width Coil as you may need to adjust the size here instead of directly on the chassis to get the picture to display properly. Hope that helps.
