Cruis’n USA picture squished
Question from Kyle: I’m fairly new to arcade ownership l and I’ve got a Cruis’n USA. I was having issues with the vertical hold on the monitor so I adjusted that and managed to get that under control but now my screen seems to have gotten squished smaller (looks more like a widescreen) and I can’t get it adjusted out of it. Any help would be appreciated.

Most monitors have a vertical size adjustment that should allow you to resize the vertical aspect of your picture. Please see our post on Adjusting An Arcade Monitor for more information on these adjustments. If you adjust this setting but the picture continues to look squished then there could be some bad electronic components on the monitor chassis that are keeping you from making the proper changes to your picture. At this point, we recommend starting off with a cap kit to see if it will help your issue. Check out our post on Installing A Cap Kit for more information.
