412-in-1 in a Neo Geo cabinet
Question from John: I have an original Neo Geo MVS 2 slot cabinet. I currently have a 160-in-1 Neo Geo cart in one slot. Can I run something like the Game Elf 412-in-1 in the second slot? If so, how? Trackball and spinner games are no concern.

Great question. Unfortunately this is not possible. The Neo Geo single and multi slot arcade boards are only made to accept Neo Geo cartridges in the slots, not JAMMA boards like the 412-in-1 game elf board. With that said, you could hook up something like this JAMMA switcher on eBay in your cabinet which would allow you to run your Neo Geo board and the 412-in-1 board and switch between them. The wiring on these can get a little tricky (especially since both the Neo Geo and the 412-in-1 board use a modified versions of the JAMMA wiring standard) but with a little research and patience it’s definitely feasible.
