60-in-1 Pac Man JAMMA kit
Question from Armand: Hi guys! On your site there is a video about the 60-in-1 Pac Man JAMMA kit from JAMMAboards but they appear to be out of business. Do you guys sell the conversion kit and if not who do you recommend as a source for the JAMMA conversion kits (using the existing Pac Man button layout)? Thx, Armand from Canada

Response from Jonathan: Armand,
Yes, JAMMAboards.com owner Tim Hensel passed away a while back and the store has been closed ever since his death. At this point, we do not know if his family plans on reopening the store or not. We would ask that you keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this difficult time.
With that said, there is some good news. Hot Rod Arcade has stepped up and started offering a version of the Ms. Pac/Pac-Man Cabinet to JAMMA PCB Adapter that does the same thing with a few improvements. The adapter is really the hardest part to obtain of the three items that were included in the original kit so it’s great news that they are offering this part. You can send an email to Chris at Hot Rod Arcade if you would like to order one.
There are several arcade parts retailers that sell 60-in-1 boards if you need one. Let me recommend two sellers that we’ve ordered the boards from in the past. Our friend Michael at CajunArcade usually sells 60-in-1 boards for a pretty reasonable price and has great customer service. Same goes for our friend Nick at JAMMA Parts. Both of them also sell JAMMA harnesses, power supplies, and the other parts you might need in order to finish the project.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your future repairs.
Response from Armand: Jonathan, thx for the links. I found a supplier in the interim: http://mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/store.pl?sku=60in1Kit-Pac-Upright. This seems to be the very same kit as the one JAMMAboards used to supply with minimal changes required to the original cab. Do you have any history with this supplier/kit? Thx, Armand
Response from Jonathan: Armand,
Yes, this does appear to be their version of the upgrade kit. While we don’t have any experience with this kit specifically, we have had a lot of experience with MikesArcade.com. They are a very reputable seller and their kit should be just as good as the one from JAMMAboards. Hope that helps.
