Question from Chad: Here’s just another 60-in-1 question for you.

I’m planning on putting a surge protector power strip inside my cab. I’ll hook in the marque light, my computer lcd flatscreen monitor, and the PCB power supply to this strip.

Can I hot wire a three-prog power cord to the two AC and the ground terminals on the 16 amp RetroArcade.us power supply? Or, do I have to work wiring from the power supply, through a fuse, then to the power strip? Or, is there something else I need to do.

Thanks for all you post, it’s been very helpful planning my cab. Now, I just need this to get through… Since I’m not powering a monitor with the power supply, I’m not sure if I need the fuse.

Yes you can hot wire a three-prong power cord to the two AC and the ground terminals on your power supply. The fuse is really only there if you get a surge from the wall which should be handled by your surge protector. Hope that helps.
