Question: Hello, I have an Electrocoin MVS arcade cabinet and I’m having a weird problem. I’ve attached some pictures. Basically the monitor lost brightness and squeezes the picture in a middle horizontal line like in vertical collapse. Do you have any idea of what it could be? All capacitors seem to be ok. Thanks in advance!

Response from Jonathan: Looks like it needs a cap kit. Check out our post on Installing A Cap Kit for more information. It’s important to note that although all of the capacitors seem to be OK, they could still be malfunctioning. Definitely worth trying the cap kit before moving on to other repair techniques. Yes, it might also have a problem with vertical collapse but let’s start with the cap kit first and see if it solves the issue. Hope that helps.
