Response from Jonathan: John,
We’re not quite sure what you are asking here. If you are asking if you can use an older TV monitor in an arcade cabinet (replacing the original arcade monitor) then the answer is yes. In most cases, you will have to use some sort of video converter board as most older televisions do not support the 15 kHz signal that most arcade boards use for output. The one we recommend is the Gonbes GBS-8220. You can purchase it here: http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/gonbes-video-converters/23-cga-vga-hd-video-converter.html. In order to use it in your cabinet, you will need to hook the wires that are currently going to your arcade monitor up to the input of this board. Once you have done that, you can then hook up either a TV or computer monitor to the outputs on this board and you should get a picture. Please let us know if you have any additional questions about this process and we’ll try to help you out further.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
