Question from Kenny: I have tried all the adjustments seen in your youtube videos But it changes very little. I was wondering what is the next thing to try for this type of symptom.

Response from Jonathan: Kenny,

Looks like you are having a sync issue with the monitor. Try checking the sync wire going from the board to the monitor to make sure it’s got a good connection on both ends. Also, you might add a touch of solder to the bottom of the monitor chassis where the sync pin is located.

If you try all of this and still can’t get the monitor to sync then you might have a sync issue with your monitor chassis. There are usually some transistors along with a IC chip that control vertical and horizontal sync. Probably need to replace these parts on your monitor to get it working again. The location of the parts depends on what monitor chassis you have in your game. Check out the What’s My Monitor page on Bob Roberts site to help you identify which one you have.

Hope that helps, Kenny. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
