ArcadeSD question
Hello. I purchased an ArcadeSD and SD card. I picked up the package at the post office today. I was able to setup the card through the software and load the ROMs on. The problem I am having is the monitor will not clear up so I can see the picture. I have adjusted the knobs on the remote board and it will not focus. I have attached a video of what I am seeing. I am using the ArcadeSD in a Pac-Man 25th anniversary cabinet. I previously had the 60-in-1 running just fine but wanted to upgrade to the SD. The cabinet has a 25” Neotec S501 monitor. Any suggestions you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Response from Jonathan: Marcus,
From your video, it definitely looks like you are experiencing some sort of sync issue. Make sure that the ArcadeSD is set to the correct video mode for your monitor. You might also try changing the horizontal and vertical adjustments on the monitor as well as checking the B+ voltage (should be around 125 VDC or so) to make sure it’s within range.
Another thing to check would be the input wiring from the harness especially the sync wire (pin P on the JAMMA harness) to make sure that the connection is good and attached to the correct pins on your monitor chassis. Speaking of monitor input wiring, we’ve also seen this problem when the video ground (pin 14 on the JAMMA harness) was not hooked up properly to the monitor chassis so double check that as well. The video ground is one people will sometimes overlook as many older boards will work without it while newer boards tend to require it.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and keep us updated on your progress.
