coin mechanism for Rowe cigarette machine
Question from Ed: I am restoring a Rowe cigarette machine that came from my father-in-law’s barber shop. I think the machine worked with quarters. I have taken the machine apart and am in the process of repainting the shell. I’d like to get the coin and cigarette release mechanism to work. Can you refer me to any places where I might be able to learn about how the mechanisms work and how I might be able to get the mechanisms to function? I’ve attached a photo of the coin mechanism.

We’re not real familiar with cigarette machines unfortunately but this coin mech does look somewhat similar to what you would find in a standard coin-op game. You might check out our post on Adjusting A Coin Mech to see if it has some information that might help you out. You might also try contacting either Suzo/Happ or Imonex to see if they can either help you get your current mech working or sell you a replacement mech for your machine.
