Question from Brian: Hello,

My name is Brian. I have recently purchased my 1st arcade game, Donkey Kong. The game doesn’t work, so I have been trying to fugure out what is wrong with it. I have watched almost every video that you have on you tube and your website. Thank you for all the knowledge you have shared with me. I have learned a lot.

My system will not turn on. No sound or anything. When I plug it in, I here the power supply hum like it is getting power, also my marquee sign works. I believe my power supply is good…could be wrong, but I think it is ok. I seem to think the problem is in the monitor. I have done research and was told that since I have no sound or video the monitor may be the problem.

I have safely removed the monior and seperated the monitor from the control board chassis. There was a blown fuse on the board, but i have already tried replacing it…but it did not fix the issue. I know something caused the fuse to blow, but I have been unable to determine the cause. I would like to get this fixed and serviced. Please share any advice you can with me.

Can you help me with this, or can you give me a little more guidance.
