Forum – Ms. Pac Man Joystick question
Question from Lacey: I own a vintage cocktail table Ms Pac Man. The down function for player two’s joystick all of a sudden stopped working. The leaf switch appears to be working correctly and makes an electrical connection when tested. I am planning on tracing back the wiring to make sure nothing has come disconnected (although I am not sure how it could have). Does anyone know where this connects to the PCB to help aid in tracing the circuit (testing if the entire circuit works immediately). Also does anyone know of anything else I should check in addition to the wiring?

According to the Ms. Pac Man pinouts, it looks like the player 2 down wire should be connected to position V (pin 18, parts side) on the harness that connects to your PCB. You can also check the leaf switch itself to make sure that the connection is being made when the button is pressed.
