Galaga No power?
Question from E.Cruz: Hola,
Looking to buying an old Galaga used arcade machine that is in a waiting room at a used car lot dealer…the owner said it was workin and then it stopped there is no video he thinks it might be the power supply…But the marquee lights up? What do you think could be wrong with it? He wants $200 for it, is that a good deal? It’s in really nice condition and if so what should i look for when i go look at it again? Well i hope to hear from you soon i’ve seen alot of your video’s keep up the good work sir…
Thank You
E.Cruz
P.S. I have an old power supply that came out of a Donkey Kong jr Machine could i use that if the one in it is bad?

Response from Jonathan: E.Cruz,
While this price seems reasonable enough, it really depends on what is wrong with the game. It could be that the power supply blew up causing the board and monitor to die. If this is the case, it might cost you quite a bit to get it fixed. If you could get him to let you have a look inside the cabinet that would be quite beneficial to you. This way you would at least know if the game is complete or if it is missing parts. Overall, you might try dealing with the guy and perhaps see if you could talk him down to $100. Make sure you mention that it might take some cash to get it working. Please keep us updated if you end up picking it up.
