Question from Chris: Hi guy,
I think the stuff you are doing to help collectors is great! I’ve found so much interesting information from your videos and site.
I recently bought a Gorf arcade machine. If I leave the game on for over 20 minutes or so the boards start to freeze or the colors on the screen get messed up. This only happens if I’m playing the game. I can leave the game on for several hours and it’s fine. Any ideas?

Sounds like either a board or a power supply issue. We would probably start by checking the power supply. We recommend checking the power supply when you start the game and then after 20 minutes of playing when the game freezes up. Check out our post on Checking A Classic Power Supply for more information. Make sure that the voltages have not changed between those times. If they have, it might be time to rebuild or replace the power supply. Bob Roberts as a great article dealing when these power supplies that you might check out. Otherwise you probably have a board issue.
They have some good general information about Gorf on the CoinOpSpace.com forums. There are also some repair logs for Gorf out there that might help you repair the board as well. I will also tell you that the RAM chips on the RAM card tend to fail fairly frequently on this game. Probably a good idea to the replace them before getting more in depth in your board repair.
