Question from Jason: Hey Tim and Jonathan, Love the video’s and the podcast’s. You guys have inspired me to rescue a more than a few distressed arcade games! I’m fairly green however my confidence is gaining with each passing project. Recently I had a 25″ WG K7000 (P538) flyback and some defective caps replaced. When I installed it into my Dynaco Cab with my test Street Fighter II Jamma Board I was very satisfied with the picture. Colors were bright and the graphics were sharp from top to bottom. However when I removed the SFII PCB and connected my dual slot Neo-Geo MVS running a King of Monsters cart the very top of the screen was now curling to the left (as seen in the included video). Any thoughts? Thanks for any input your may have!

Sounds like you might need to adjust the 50-60 Hz pot on your monitor chassis. Normally I would suggest replacing some parts; however, this is probably not a parts issue since the monitor works with the Street Fighter II board. Here’s a picture of what the pot looks like that might help you out: http://www.jstookey.com/arcade/WG_25k7191/WG_25k7191_pot_close_up.JPG. Just give it a slight turn to the left or right to see if your picture improves. Make sure you take the necessary precautions to keep yourself from getting shocked when adjusting this pot. Please let us know if you can’t adjust the curl out and we’ll move on to some other suggestions.
