Help

Question from Dave: Hello, I have done a cap kit replacement on my G07, including the 303 Mod. I have also replaced the pots. The flyback and the width coil seem fine. What else am I missing? Could it just be that my monitor is shot? Pictures of current screen attached. Thank you in advance, Dave

Response from Jonathan: Dave,

Very interesting. It looks almost like you’re getting some sort of interference in your signal. First off, we would recommend adjusting the monitor. Make sure you specifically check the B+ voltage to make sure it is in tolerance. Any time you do a cap kit it is a good idea to adjust the monitor as people will usually adjust the monitor over time to compensate for the bad caps. Once good caps are installed on the chassis, the adjustment settings that were compensating for the old caps will sometimes give you a bad picture. So, try adjusting the monitor and see if it helps your picture. Also, you might check the monitor output wires that run from your board to your chassis to make sure they are all making a good connection on both ends and that there are no frayed or broken areas. These type of issues could definitely cause the problem that you are experiencing. Please feel free to contact us again if the problem continues after checking these areas and we’ll try to help you out further.

Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
