help with video arcade game
Question from Suzan: I am looking for the instructions on how to use the push buttons in the control box of the Area 51 Video arcade game. The buttons that align the gun, turn down the sound, etc. Do you know where I can find that? Also, a person took the coin mechanism off the game in order to get free games and now I don’t know how it goes back on! Could you point me in the right direction please? Suzan

The manual should have everything you need to know about how to locate the test/service buttons, get into the self test menu and set the various options that you are talking about. Here’s a link to the manual: http://www.arcade-museum.com/manuals-videogames/A/Area51.man.pdf
On the coin mechanism, we have a post on Adjusting A Coin Mech that might be helpful. Of course, the techniques we discuss might not work if they damaged the coin mech or it’s holder when they were trying to take it off. You can get a whole new coin mech, holder or coin door depending on how extensive the damage is. Contact Suzo/Happ and they can lead you in the right direction if you need replacement parts.
