We always recommend starting at power with these types of issues. Make sure your monitor is getting the correct voltage from either the wall or the isolation transformer. You can check this by using a multimeter. You might also want to make sure that the fuse on the monitor chassis is in tact. This is another issue you can test with your multimeter using the continuity test. Of course, make sure the wiring going from your Virtua Fighter board to your monitor is making a good connection as well.

Once you’ve verified that everything above is working properly, you can proceed to the monitor chassis. It might be good to start with a cap kit first.
