Question from Neil: Hi
I have managed to trace the blue wires back to a demag button. What is this button for and will I need it as I’m using the monitor for a mame cabinet?
Thanks again guys.

Response from Jonathan: Neil,
Awesome! This is basically the same thing I was talking about in my last comment on the facebook site. Demagnetize and Degauss are pretty much the same thing. When you press this button, it will try and demagnetize your monitor (in a similar fashion to what a degaussing coil does except this one is built in the monitor) causing your colors to look crazy for a second then go back to normal. This is to help “clear out” any unwanted magnetic fields that might be causing discoloration on your tube. You can check out our video on Using A Degaussing Coil for more information.
You need to leave the wiring to the button alone when trying to hook up your ArcadeVGA. This really has nothing to do with the signal coming from the board/computer to the monitor but will be helpful if you do experience any areas of discoloration on your screen in the future.
