Joystick popped out of the arcade game
Question from Cheryl: Hi there! I was hoping you could assist me. I have an multi-game arcade machine with a 4 way joystick. Recently, the kids were playing it and the joystick just popped out. I can’t figure out how to fix it! Help! I appreciate any feedback! Cheryl

Response from Jonathan: Cheryl,
Most joysticks are held in place by a little metal piece called an e-clip. It could be that the e-clip that was holding your joystick in place popped off and flew somewhere in your arcade cabinet. You might try searching the inside of your cabinet to see if you can find the e-clip. You can use a magnet to help you as most e-clips are metal as I mentioned earlier.
If you can’t find the e-clip, you can try buying another one. There are about 3-4 different sizes of e-clips for joysticks but Twisted Quarter (http://www.twistedquarter.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=190_355_358&products_id=1738) sells the most common size. Of course, Twisted Quarter also sells replacement joysticks (http://www.twistedquarter.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=190) which may be a better option depending on the condition of your current joystick.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
