Konami GX065 board issue

Question from Robert: Quick question. Do y’all have clue what’s going on here? I don’t even know what game this is. I think it’s X-Men but it’s definitely not acting right.

It looks like your board is having a watchdog issue. First off, make sure that your board is getting the correct voltage. While you can test the voltage on the power supply itself, the best place to test it is on the board either at the JAMMA edge connector or on one of the chips. If the voltage is correct but you continue to have problems then you need to look at the board itself. Start by¬†cleaning and reseating the EPROMs to see if that makes a difference. Make sure you also look over the main CPU and work RAM for any bad traces as these Konami boards are known to develop solder issues over time. Of course, it’s possible that these parts are bad as well and will need to be replaced.
