Question from Ben: Hi there, first off, love you guys, love the podcast, love the videos, love the website. You are really allowing me to get into this hobby, and I am having a blast (though I need more time geesh).

Anyways, I recently aquired a Konami Track and Field. Once when playing it I noticed some funky input behavior while doing name entry. This was right after I had removed the board to replace the battery, and I noticed I had not screwed in a grounding wire that was there to the metal enclosure for the board. After doing this it seemed to be fine again, but I think this may have just been a coincidence. I then replaced the power cord.

Later, it started acting weird again, and it even reset. So i tested the power supply. The values I got were

-5.0
+12

I also noticed I had done kind of a crappy job of screwing ground wire contact to the metal enclosure, so I tightened that. I then did a connectivity test between the ground plug and everything in the cabinet that should have been grounded, including the button ground wire. All tests passed. Since then I let it run for 2 hours straight, playing it, and had no issues.

My questions are as follows: Is 5.42 too high? Do I need to adjust it? If I need to adjust it, there does not seem to be a knob anywhere on the supply (I took it out). There is a random screw in the middle on the same side as the terminals but I turned that and it seemed to have no effect. Or should I just leave well enough alone?
