Lethal Enforcers Arcade with Issues

Question from Mark: Been going through your videos and first off, great job on these. I have learned a lot already.

I recently picked up a Lethal Enforcers Arcade cabinet and I’m working through it’s issues. The monitor on this one is not displaying any red at all at the moment. Adjusting the drive and cutoff for that gun has no effect. I was going to try your short out the gun check to make sure the Tube is still working, but ran into a couple of issues:

Since the tube is mounted horizontally and the neck sits well towards the bottom of the screen it’s not possible to actually see the backside of the neck board, so I was going to pull it free so I could remove the cardboard guarding the back and actually look at the board, because it’s vertical it appears they glued the board to the neck so it would not rattle loose (assumption) when the cabinet was moved or abused. Can I assume I can just cut the silicone away until the socket on the board releases from the neck? I’ll have to do something like this if I need to replace the driver transistor for the red gun regardless, just wanted to make sure I am not going down the wrong track. When I go to put it back, is there a recommended glue/silicone I should use to tack it back on?

I am assuming that the lack of red is one of the things making the left gun unreliable. The right gun has a bad board in it and that is on order.

I appreciate any pointers you can give me, and keep up the good work with the videos!
Mark
